Let’s Set Your Password!

Now we are going to set up the password for your MyToyotaID. Since we want to keep your account secure, there are a few requirements. Passwords CANNOT contain your first name, last name, or MyToyotaID. Passwords MUST follow the requirements and guidelines below:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Allow for 3 out of the following 4 categories
    • At least 1 lower case letter
    • At least 1 upper case letter
    • At least one numeral
    • At least 1 special character from the following set: ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) _ - + = { } [ ] \ | : ; " ' , . ? / & < > and SPACES
  • Not equal to the User ID (UID)
  • Passwords cannot be reused within the last 10 reset cycles

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an authentication method in which a computer user is granted access only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism, something the user and only the user knows. Toyota protects most systems and applications using MFA.
